Hokkaido is Japan’s northernmost region. If you visit Hokkaido there are numerous must-see nature sights as well: The Shiretoko Area contains the Shiretoko Peninsula which is registered as a World Natural Heritage Site, and the Doto region is home to the beautiful lakes Mashu-ko Lake and Lake Akan-ko. In the winter, we recommend the Niseko area, which is beloved by skiiers from around the world for its high-quality powdered snow, and the Furano area.
